The blister truncated dome as illustrated here is not just extremely durable. It also boasts the benefit of ease of installation and is further complimented as a more aesthetically pleasing product than its fiberglass or resin counterparts. Detectable Warning Tile

This particular installation of the hazard yellow blister truncated dome tile illustrates our system adhered to an asphalt surface at an intersection where pedestrian traffic crosses the path of vehicular traffic. As you can see, there is no curb separating the road from the pedestrian pathway. Our tile serves as the only warning to the blind or partially sighted.

A combination of our truncated dome tile and our pathfinder tile have been installed in Asheville, North Carolina to assist blind and partially sighted employees working at the Industries for the Blind to navigate the intersection more safely. The pathfinder product is especially recommended in high traffic areas.

Guidance Tile

The guidance tile has been used to great effect on Docklands Light Railway London. The driverless trains on DLR come to a pre-determined stop position; the guidance tile is used to indicate the position of the train doors and therefore allow the visually impaired to prepare for the train’s arrival and make a safe entry into the carriage.

Hazard Warning Surface

Hazard detectable warning surface is being used at the Industries for the Blind facility in Asheville, North Carolina. The hazard surface is used where safe transit routes enter a dispatch area to warn pedestrians of potential danger. The contrasting colour of the tile ensures easy detection by the partially sighted. The ribbed surface can be easily detected by foot or cane giving a clear warning message.

The blind and partially sighted can navigate safely along designated routes avoiding potential hazards. Pathfinder is also a vital aide in safe and effective evacuation in an emergency situation.
